Kirstine Postma is a UK trained Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of clinical and professional experience. She provides psychological assessment and interventions for a wide variety of difficulties, including post-traumatic stress, anxiety and mood disorders and certain personality disorders. She has had formal training in CBT, DBT, IPT and MBSR. She offers Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and EMDR, as well as several other evidence-based therapies, such as Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
Ms Postma has several years’ experience teaching and training clinicians of various backgrounds in CBT, when employed in a leading role in the UK National Health Service. She provided supervision to Postgraduate Diploma candidates in cognitive behavioural therapy, as well as to therapists in the UK IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) program. She supervised clinical psychology Doctoral students in both the UK and Canada. In Ottawa, Ms Postma has taught several courses of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). She is now looking forward to offering a range of interesting and exciting mindfulness courses for the general public.
